Certificate Of Compliance

The introduction of a PIRB Plumbing Certificate of Compliance (PIRB COC) that must be issued by a Licensed Plumber came in around 2017/2018. The purpose of the COC is to safeguard the customer and service provider. The COC lists the details of the replacement or installation.

According to The Plumbing Industry Registration Board, the COC is a system and process whereby a licensed plumbing practitioner will self-certify their plumbing work by issuing a plumbing certificate of compliance to the relevant owner, municipality, local authority and/or insurance company.

The installation must comply to ALL requirements of the Standard. It is neither the insurance company, nor the plumber’s responsibility to make the installation physically compliant; rather, the onus falls on the owner/user of the system to ensure it is compliant. However, it is imperative that the owner/user is made aware, in writing, of the material facts regarding the non-compliance of the installation, see extract below:

* SANS 10254 Clause: 4.1.1.4 On completion of the installation, a certificate of compliance from the professional body for plumbers registered in terms of the relevant national legislation (see foreword), shall be issued to the owner of the installation or to the body requiring such a certificate.

Terms and Conditions of Service

The following Terms of Use is a legal contract between an individual customer and Kee Plumbing defining the rules and acceptable behaviour of this service.

Payment is due no later than 7 days after date of invoice.

All plumbing and allied items remain property of Kee Plumbing until fully paid for.

All invoices are COD invoices, unless otherwise stated.

Failure to make payment on time will result in further action being taken.

Quotes and invoices need to be signed & returned. An emailed approval or any other form of written consent will be considered approved authorization to carry out the work. A deposit for a quotation (listing what needs to be done) will also be considered an authorized instruction to carry out the work.

Acceptance of the above is considered your consent to these terms and conditions.

POPI

A Privacy Policy agreement is required by law if you collect personal data about your site visitors.

The Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) gives you the constitutional right to privacy.

By providing us with your personal information, as a result of your contact with us, telephonically, online or via a social media platform, we will be able to lawfully provide you with the plumbing services you require. This means that you also consent to the processing of your information with regard to documents like quotations, invoices, reports and COC’s. When providing us with your personal information, you consent to Kee Plumbing processing your personal information in accordance with the POPI Act regulation. This means that your information will remain confidential and safeguarded to meet the compliance regulations of the POPI Act.
